Job summary

Point72 Asset Management, L.P. is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, APAC to support the Head of Legal across the APAC region.

The role involves advising on general corporate law, drafting and negotiating contracts, and handling local governance matters. You will collaborate with HR and employment teams on local employment and immigration issues, monitor regulatory developments with respect to SFC, MAS and FSA, review investor letters and confidentiality agreements, and coordinate with

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
• Experience at an international law firm or multi-strategy investment manager
• Experience reviewing and negotiating contracts with attention to detail
• Familiarity with quantitative, macro and equity long/short trading strategies helpful
• Excellent communication skills; able to summarize complex issues for internal clients
• Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese preferred; project management skills an advantage
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Legal, APAC on all APAC matters
• Advise on general corporate law; draft, review and negotiate contracts
• Manage corporate governance, local filings and board meetings
• Assist HR and employment team on local employment and immigration matters
• Monitor regulatory matters affecting APAC offices (SFC, MAS, FSA)
• Review placement letters, confidentiality agreements and investor letters
• Provide ad-hoc advice on data protection and liaise with external counsel
