Job summary

BAH Partners Limited in Hong Kong is partnering with a growing technology-driven hedge fund to hire Software Engineers for their newly established AI Engineering team. This greenfield AI development role offers end-to-end ownership of production-quality software built for AI-powered workflows and automated decision support.

You'll work with Claude Code, Cursor and Copilot, building AI-native solutions, collaborating with portfolio managers and traders, and delivering focused 6–12 week projects

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Python development experience, ideally with Django
• Strong SQL skills and experience building data-driven backend applications
• Experience with AWS, Terraform and CI/CD for deploying production applications
• Hands-on exposure to LLMs, AI agents, RAG or AI integrations
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot

Responsibilities

• Build greenfield AI-powered applications and automation solutions with minimal legacy constraints
• Own end-to-end development from requirements to deployment and production adoption
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, risk and operations to solve real-world problems
• Deliver focused projects lasting 6-12 weeks and propagate learnings across the firm
• Contribute to AI-native engineering initiatives and integration efforts

AI Software Engineer | Greenfield AI Development | Hedge Fund

I'm partnering with a growing, technology-driven multi-strategy hedge fund, to hire Software Engineers for their newly established AI Engineering team.

This is a particularly exciting opportunity for engineers who love building things from scratch, enjoy solving complex business problems and are genuinely enthusiastic about the possibilities of AI.

The team is building out its Forward Deployed Engineering capability, bringing together strong software engineering fundamentals, modern AI technologies and direct business collaboration.

What will you be building?

You'll be building production-quality software that people actually use, rather than experimenting with AI in isolation.

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of professional Python development experience, ideally with Django.
