Job summary

Millennium is seeking a Risk Controls Manager based in Asia to serve as the regional expert for external managers risk controls.

You will partner with regional execution teams and control functions to design, implement and maintain effective controls, including onboarding, pre-trade and post-trade risk reviews. This role reports to the Global Head and requires strong judgment and stakeholder management in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in trading, risk or controls roles, with external managers experience.
• Experience designing/overseeing trading limits and control frameworks.
• Strong project-management and stakeholder-influencing abilities.
• Excellent communication across regions and functions.
• Knowledge of third-party execution platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own regional responsibility for external managers risk controls and collaborate with regional execution teams.
• Serve as regional SME on external trading controls, onboarding, pre-trade and post-trade risk.
• Design and set trading limits, monitor adherence and manage exceptions.
• Coordinate control reviews and onboarding requirements for external Portfolio Managers.
• Promote consistent understanding of pre-trade and post-trade risk controls.
• Develop dashboards to monitor performance and identify remediation needs.
• Review significant trading events and track remediation progress.
• Contribute to firm-wide standards and governance for external trading activities.
