Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Global Mobility and Cross-Border Tax Advisory professional to design tax-efficient relocation, secondments, and cross-border transfers for senior executives and fund managers across APAC. You will oversee tax equalization, shadow payroll, and regional reporting to ensure compliance and optimize tax outcomes.

You will partner with HR, legal and finance teams to manage deferrals, equity plans, and sourcing rules while advising C-suite stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder from a reputable university.
• 8 years of relevant experience gained from large global buy-side firms and Big 4 firms.
• Solid experience on APAC jurisdictions and global remits.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsibilities

• Assignment Structuring: design and advise on tax-efficient relocation packages, secondments, and permanent transfers.
• Tax Equalization: oversee tax equalization or tax protection policies, calculating hypothetical taxes and processing year-end settlements.
• Business Travelers & Remote Work: monitor and manage tax footprints, tracking, and compliance risks of cross-border travellers and remote work arrangements.
• Permanent Establishment risk: collaborate with corporate tax to evaluate PE exposure for fund entities.
