Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist, APAC to support payroll operations across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Korea, and other APAC markets.

The role partners with Employee Connection, People & Culture, Finance and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate payroll that complies with local regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of APAC taxation and statutory requirements,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably supporting multiple APAC countries.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, social security, and statutory requirements across APAC markets.
• Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
• Solid understanding of payroll accounting, general ledger postings, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end payroll processing for APAC countries across multiple regions.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, validations, and approvals with regional teams and external providers.
• Review payroll calculations for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure payroll is processed and funded according to payroll calendars and SLAs.
• Manage year-end payroll and tax reporting for assigned APAC countries.
