Job summary

Morgan Stanley’s Events Marketing team in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced events professional to lead and execute high-profile conferences and client events across the firm's businesses. You will partner with the Corporate Access Team and internal stakeholders to design, budget, and deliver world‑class events that align with firm strategy.

You will manage venues, suppliers, speaker logistics, and compliance, while maintaining rigorous controls on spend and risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years related experience in event planning in the Investment Banking industry.
• Proven ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders and clients.
• Ability to lead, innovate, propose solutions, influence, make and own decisions.
• Excellent knowledge of 5* venues and relevant vendor relationships.
• Good working knowledge of Event Tech.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload, working under pressure to deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
• Flexible and willing to work long hours (evenings, weekends) and travel when required.
• Strong team player, do what it takes to get the best outcomes and always maintaining high standards of excellence.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with the Corporate Access Team and coordinate conferences.
• Plan and execute firmwide conferences, including flagship and C-suite events.
• Lead or support event elements: dinners, liaison, onsite staff, vendor management.
• Advise hosts on budgets, compliance, contracts, and risk management.
• Manage supplier relationships and cost negotiations.
• Own budget through event lifecycle; track invoices.
• Coordinate invitations and build firm-branded websites/apps.
• Manage external speaker research and contracting.
• Ensure compliance with Legal & Compliance and anti-corruption requirements.
• Coordinate with sourcing/legal on MSAs and addendums.
• Collaborate with design and AV teams on timelines and materials.
• Provide timely event reports and post-event debriefs.
