Job summary

HerdHR Private Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Android Developer to turn wireframes into native apps and publish to Google Play.

You will work in an agile team, implement offline-online data syncing, and integrate third-party libraries while maintaining code quality and performance. Strong English communication required.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• At least one year of experience coding in Native Android (4.0+) using JAVA/Kotlin via Android Studio.
• At least one year of experience working in an agile environment.
• Deep understanding of data syncing between mobile devices and server (offline to online).
• Experience integrating 3rd party libraries into Android Apps (e.g. Picasso, Fresco, RxJava, Retrofit).
• Experience persisting data (e.g. SQLite, ActiveAndroid, SharedPreferences).
• Good knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming and reactive programming (Preferable).
• Experience implementing Push Notifications with actions, camera use, background tasks, and memory management (Preferable).
• Experience publishing Apps on Google Play Store.
• Experience debugging and fixing critical bugs under tight deadlines; strong English communication skills.
