Job summary

Appnovation is seeking a skilled Mobile Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain Android and iOS apps, based in Hong Kong with the team in client offices. The role emphasizes hands-on Java/Kotlin development and collaboration across disciplines to ship features and ensure top performance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in CS/IT/MIS and 2+ years of mobile engineering experience, including XML/JSON/SOAP usage and Flutter/React Native familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant working experience in systems, design and development.
• Hands-on experience in Java / Kotlin development of production applications.
• Experience in XML, JSON, SOAP, Web Services and object-oriented tools.
• Experience in Swift, Objective-C, Flutter and/or React Native will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain and enhance existing mobile applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
• Utilize hands-on experience in Android mobile development, ensuring applications meet industry standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize mobile applications for performance and usability.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in mobile development and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with QA teams to conduct thorough testing and ensure the quality of the developed applications.

About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Application Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess relevant working experience in system design and development. As a Mobile Application Developer, you will create innovative and engaging mobile applications for Android platforms. This role is based with other Appnovation team members in our client offices in Hong Kong.

Who You Are

• Bachelor degree holder major in Computer Science, IT, MIS or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant working experience in systems, design and development
• Hands-on experience in Java / Kotlin development of production applications
• Experience in XML, JSON, SOAP, Web Services and object-oriented tools
• Experience in Swift, Objective-C, Flutter and/or React Native will be an advantage
• Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good team player and willing to learn new technologies Experienced on handling high transaction volumes would be an advantage
• Communication skills in Cantonese and English
