Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an Investment Analyst to assist the Investment Office in managing the Club's long-term capital and monitoring a diversified asset portfolio in collaboration with external fund managers.

The role supports due diligence, investment analysis, and reporting to enable informed decisions and regulatory compliance within a dynamic, data-driven environment.

Qualificações

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline.
• At least 1 year of financial markets experience.
• Experience using Python, VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL and LLMs to automate workflows and support data-driven decision-making.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in managing the Club's long-term capital through external fund managers by reviewing and monitoring fund managers' investment activities and performance.
• Assist in evaluating investment opportunities through in-depth due diligence analysis for management review and recommendation to the Investment Committee.
• Prepare management, performance and analytical reports on a periodic basis or as required to support portfolio monitoring, external fund manager meetings and internal management reporting.
• Support engagement with external managers on the Club's Environmental, Social and Governance policy, including monitoring industry developments to ensure best practices are maintained.
• Help maintain proprietary and third-party systems and databases and contribute to projects that enhance Investment Office infrastructure.
• Develop and utilise quantitative tools for manager research and investment analysis to support more informed investment decisions.
• Keep abreast of market and business developments in the financial industry through meetings and discussions with fund managers, custodians, investment consultants and other service providers
• Exploring investment alternatives and efficient operating approaches and determining their appropriateness for the Club's investment structure.
• Monitor local regulations and legislation on investment matters, assess their implications for strategy and fund selection, and ensure investment activities comply fully, with any aberrations rectified.

About the Role

The Finance Division is a key business partner that balances oversight with support, working proactively and collaboratively to deliver insights, enable solutions and drive financial stewardship.

The Investment Office identifies and manages the Club's financial assets and related risks to support the Club's overall goals.

The role holder assists with the day-to-day investment management of the Club's long-term capital, focusing on one asset class or the overall portfolio. The position supports ongoing portfolio monitoring, external fund manager engagement and investment analysis within the Investment Office.

Key Responsibilities

Required Experience & Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline.
• Financial markets knowledge gained through at least 1 year of industry experience.
• Proficiency in using technologies and tools such as Python, VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL and LLMs to automate workflows, improve analytical efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Skills

• Postgraduate degree and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
