Job summary

HSBC in Hong Kong is seeking an Analyst for Hong Kong Coverage in Capital Markets and Advisory. You will originate and execute IPO, M&A and other equity transactions, develop valuations and financial models, and prepare client presentations.

You will interact with clients and management, contribute to revenue targets, and be part of the engagement team. The role requires 1–3 years in IB/CF or Big 4, strong quantitative/qualitative skills, and fluency in Cantonese and English; Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in Investment Banking/Corporate Finance or Big 4 accounting backgrounds.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
• Knowledge of financial modelling, valuation and accounting.
• Good understanding of financial markets.
• Motivation to learn and take on new assignments.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute IPOs, M&A and other equity/equity-linked transactions.
• Develop company valuations and build/analyse financial models.
• Prepare client presentations and memoranda related to marketing and execution.
• Interact with clients and management as part of the engagement team.
