Job summary

MIB Securities (Hong Kong) Limited, a member of Maybank Investment Banking, is seeking an experienced operations professional to support client onboarding and daily account maintenance in Hong Kong. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely processing.

The role covers KYC/AML checks, name screening, and system updates, with opportunities to handle eIPO registrations and broker account openings.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Business Administration or related discipline.
• SFC Type 1 and Type 2 licenses would be an advantage.
• Fluent in English & Chinese (Mandarin).
• At least 3 years in HK financial industry.
• Knowledge of KYC/CDD documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations for account opening and maintenance.
• Perform KYC and AML checks for new onboarding and periodic reviews.
• Handle client inquiries related to accounts and online trading.
• Maintain client profile data and run name screening updates.
• Assist with eIPO book open/close registrations and broker account openings.
• Prepare MIS reports and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HKSFC annual assessments and professional investor status.
• Assist in updating customer service procedures.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support customer service daily operation, include clients’ application of account opening, account maintenance, Customer Due Diligence “CDD” periodic review and client profile system information update, etc.
• Conduct completeness check of clients’ documentation as per application, such as account application forms, tax self-certification forms and ID&V documents
• Handle customer enquiries in a professional manner such as account opening, account maintenance, client information update, online trading platform setting, etc.
• Perform client KYC and AML checking due to new client onboarding and CDD periodic review in accordance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirement
• Handle and update against system generated ongoing name screening results of existing clients
• Handle other operation relating tasks such as eIPO book open and close registration, external broker account opening, real-time quotes client account registration, etc.
• Handle MIS report update and maintenance
• Liaise and work with internal stakeholders for daily operation and some ad hoc tasks
• Handle HKSFC required annual assessment and notification such as professional investor status
• Assist on customer service internal operation procedure update

Requirements

• Degree holder in Business Administration or related discipline
• Holder of SFC type 1 and type 2 licenses would be an advantage
• Positive attitude and self-motivated with good communication skills
• Good team player and customer-oriented
• Excellent command of written and spoken English & Chinese, including Mandarin
• At least 3 years of Hong Kong financial industry working experience is preferred
• General knowledge of KYC/CDD documentation requirement of individual and corporate
• Senior role will be considered as per experience and knowledge of candidate
