Job summary

Haitong International Securities Group Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a software engineer to design, implement, and test new features across the full technology stack with a primary focus on algorithmic trading strategies.

You will drive ongoing development and customization of execution strategies with the trading team, interface with stakeholders to gather requirements, and ensure scalability and performance of Market Data, Market Connectivity, Algorithm Container and Trading Engine.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' industry experience in core Java.
• Experience with Jenkins, Gradle and Git in a Unix environment.
• Knowledge of equity electronic trading and agency-based execution algorithms is a plus.
• Interest in applying quantitative methods to design execution algorithms and post-trade data analysis.
• Excellent communication and cross-region collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test new features across the full tech stack with a main focus on algorithmic trading strategies.
• Ongoing development and customization of a wide range of execution strategies, working closely with the trading team.
• Interface with business stakeholders to gather requirements and appropriately integrate them within the trading framework.
• Maintain and improve the scalability, performance and resiliency of the platform including Market Data and Market Connectivity systems, Algorithm Container and Algorithmic Trading Engine.
• Work closely with researchers to implement quant models into existing algorithm platforms; monitor performance in production and deliver insights for further improvement.
• Act as the coordinator between the technical team members (quant, algo, and market connectivity).
• Help with real time support/answering queries from traders.
