Job summary

Hong Kong International Airport is seeking an Airfield Assistant to support runway and apron operations, including sweeping, marking, and degreasing tasks. You will work with traffic control and emergency response during low visibility conditions.

The role requires a Form 3 or above with at least 3 years of commercial driving, strong teamwork, and good Cantonese; English communication is needed for access to runways and taxiways. Candidates must hold a valid HK driving license (Class 1/2/18).

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in commercial driving.
• Form 3 or above; detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; Cantonese with English to access runways and taxiways.

Responsibilities

• Sweep runways and taxiways; remove runway rubber.
• Degrease parking stands.
• Operate water truck and ground painting (apron).Carry out calibration/checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in emergency response and aircraft recovery support.
• Set up traffic control for low visibility operations.
• Work on shift duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct runway and taxiway sweeping operation and carry out runway rubber removal works
• Conduct parking stand degreasing works
• Perform operation of water truck and airfield / apron ground marking painting works with manual handling of painting materials
• Carry out functional calibration / check on vehicles, equipment and facilities
• Participate in emergency response, associated airfield supporting activities and aircraft recovery equipment deployment
• Assist in setting up traffic control for low visibility operation
• Required to work on shift duties

Requirements

• Form 3 or above with at least 3 years' experience in commercial driving
• Detail-oriented, responsible, enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Team player with pleasant personality, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Cantonese and able to communicate in English for access to the activerunways and taxiways
• Holder of a valid HK driving license with Class 1, 2 and 18. Candidates with Class 19 and 20 is an advantage
