Job summary

WilliamSELECT is seeking an ambitious Business Development Officer in Hong Kong to lead the commercial expansion.

This standalone, one-man-band role owns the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation and solution pitching to closing and account retention—with an uncapped incentive tied to gross profit.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in air freight sales, an existing shipper network, entrepreneurial drive, and strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of sales within Freight Forwarding / Air Cargo.
• Transferable network of shippers and commercial clients needing air freight services.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Deep understanding of air freight pricing, lane economics and gross margins.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target, and secure new corporate accounts requiring air freight and supply chain solutions.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline to meet revenue/gross profit targets.
• Consult with clients to understand air freight requirements and deliver tailored logistics proposals.
• Serve as the primary commercial contact, ensuring onboarding and long-term retention.
• Monitor air freight market trends and pricing to position offerings competitively.
