Job summary

Hong Kong Monetary Authority is seeking an AI/ML Platform Engineer/DevOps Engineer to contribute to both development and ongoing operation of next-generation AI/ML platforms in Hong Kong. You will help ensure security, performance, and reliability while aligning capabilities with critical business challenges.

Responsibilities include monitoring, logging, deployment, API service design, and collaboration with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Data Scientists in a CD environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML platform development and DevOps engineering.
• Strong background in software engineering and system design.
• Hands-on programming experience in Python.
• Experience with DataOps/MLOps in large-scale enterprise environments (preferred).
• Experience delivering large-scale data infrastructure (hundreds of TB) (preferred).
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud) (preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes.
• Observability stack: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus.
• AI/ML platform tools: Jupyter, MLflow, Ray, vLLM.
• DevSecOps: Jenkins, JIRA, Sonar, Git, Ansible, Nexus, Harbor.
• Test frameworks: JMeter, JUnit, PyTest.
• Excellent communication skills and a data-driven mindset.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

• Identify and assess emerging technologies that enhance infrastructure performance, maintainability, and scalability.

• Collaborate with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver software in a continuous delivery environment.
• Partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to support the development and deployment of analytics and machine learning models.

Our Client is the de facto central bank and primary financial regulator of Hong Kong As an AI/ML Platform Engineer(DevOps Engineer), you will contribute to both the development and ongoing operation of next-generation AI/ML platforms, ensuring they stay secure, high-performing, and reliable. You will also help design additional solutions by aligning technical capabilities with the organization's most critical business challenges.

• Contribute to the development of AI/ML platforms, including monitoring, logging, and deployment of proprietary, open-source, or internally developed applications.
• Design and develop services, and integrate them with both internal and external APIs.
• Identify and assess emerging technologies that enhance the performance, maintainability, and scalability of the infrastructure.
• Deliver clear visibility into the architecture, operational state, and performance of the AI/ML platform.
• Collaborate closely with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver software in a continuous delivery environment.
• Partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to support the development and deployment of analytics and machine learning models.
