Job summary

ConnectedGroup Limited is seeking an AI/ML Platform Engineer (DevOps) to build and operate next‑generation AI/ML platforms. You will ensure security, high performance, and reliability while integrating solutions that align with business goals.

You will work with data scientists and stakeholders to deploy analytics and ML models, design scalable services, and contribute to a robust CD pipeline using tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML platform development and DevOps engineer roles.
• Strong software engineering and system design background.
• Hands-on programming experience in Python.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of AI/ML platforms, including monitoring, logging, and deployment of applications.
• Design and develop services, and integrate with internal and external APIs.
• Identify and assess technologies to improve infrastructure performance and scalability.
• Deliver visibility into architecture, state, and performance of the AI/ML platform.
• Collaborate with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners in a CD environment.
• Partner with data scientists and stakeholders to support analytics and ML deployment.

Job description

Our Client is the de facto central bank and primary financial regulator of Hong Kong As an AI/ML Platform Engineer(DevOps Engineer), you will contribute to both the development and ongoing operation of next-generation AI/ML platforms, ensuring they stay secure, high-performing, and reliable. You will also help design additional solutions by aligning technical capabilities with the organization's most critical business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of AI/ML platforms, including monitoring, logging, and deployment of proprietary, open-source, or internally developed applications.
• Design and develop services, and integrate them with both internal and external APIs.
• Identify and assess emerging technologies that enhance the performance, maintainability, and scalability of the infrastructure.
• Deliver clear visibility into the architecture, operational state, and performance of the AI/ML platform.
• Collaborate closely with Architects, Platform Engineers, and Product Owners to deliver software in a continuous delivery environment.
• Partner with data scientists and business stakeholders to support the development and deployment of analytics and machine learning models.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML platform development and DevOps engineer
• Strong background in software engineering and system design (required)
• Hands-on programming experience in Python
• Experience with DataOps/MLOps in a large-scale enterprise environment (preferred)
• Experience delivering large-scale data infrastructure (hundreds of TB) (preferred)
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, AliCloud) (preferred)
• Familiarity with the following technology stack:
  • Infrastructure: Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes
  • Observability: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus
  • AI/ML Platform: Jupyter, MLflow, Ray, vLLM
  • DevSecOps Suite: Jenkins, JIRA, Sonar, Git, Ansible, Nexus, Harbor
  • Test Frameworks: jMeter, jUnit, PyTest
• Experience working in an international team with a solid understanding of the financial services industry (a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and a data-driven mindset
• Strong team management and problem-solving abilities; self-motivated, creative, with a proven track record of developing and driving firm-wide initiatives
