China Merchants Securities International Company Limited seeks an AI Engineer to track AI developments, test capabilities, and apply AI to support industry research and internal needs.

You will develop AI applications for investment research, including agents, knowledge tools, and automation, while ensuring data quality and compliant access controls. Collaboration with IT and business units is essential for requirements, deployment and maintenance.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field.
• 3 years of AI, research, product development or engineering applications.
• Familiar with large language models, AI agents, multimodal AI; embodied AI is a plus.

AI Engineer (Industry Research & Applications)

Track the latest developments in AI technologies, including large language models, AI agents and multimodal AI; conduct research and practical testing on technology capabilities, limitations, costs and application trends

Apply AI and relevant technology knowledge to support industry and company research; assist in assessing technology competitiveness, product implementation and commercialisation potential

Develop and enhance AI applications for investment research and internal business needs, including AI agents, knowledge retrieval tools, report generation and process automation

Integrate authorised data sources, models and tools; ensure appropriate access control, data traceability, version control and quality management

Conduct testing and performance evaluation on AI applications, including accuracy, failure rate, response time and cost

Work closely with IT and relevant business units on requirement gathering, testing, deployment, user training and ongoing maintenance of AI applications

Any ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:

Degree holder or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines

3 years of experience in AI, technology research, product development or engineering applications

Familiar with large language models, AI agents, multimodal AI or related technologies; experience in embodied AI would be an advantage

Able to read technical literature and open-source documentation, conduct independent testing and analyse AI technology capabilities and limitations

Solid hands-on Python and software engineering skills; familiar with APIs, data processing and necessary front-end and back-end development

Experience in developing and delivering LLM/Agent applications is preferable

Self-motivated, detail-minded and a team player with good communication skills and strong awareness of data quality and cost control
