Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong is seeking an actuarial professional to perform pricing analysis and financial modeling under IFRS17, EV, RBC, and other measures. You will support senior members of the Product Pricing and Solutions team and contribute to innovative product development.

The role requires an actuarial degree, progress in SOA exams, strong English and Chinese communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Prophet is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pricing analysis under EV, RBC, IFRS17 measures for product innovation.
• Assist in product development and prepare approval documents.
• Conduct user acceptance testing for product development and system enhancements.
• Provide technical support to distribution channels and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and pricing analyses for various financial reporting measures (EV, RBC, IFRS17).
• Participate in product development and generate premium and policy values with scenario analyses.
• Perform user acceptance testing on product development, campaigns and system enhancements.
• Advise seniors on operational issues from distribution channels and other departments.

To perform actuarial & financial analyses and provide technical support (include financial modeling) to senior members of the Product Pricing and Solutions team in driving innovation, develop competitive and profitable products and solutions, perform user acceptance test and other project initiatives.

Job Descriptions

• Provide technical support and perform robust actuarial pricing analysis under various financial reporting measures (including EV, RBC, GIECA, IFRS17) in process of innovation.
• Participate in product development process and generating the appropriate premium and policy values based on various financial and scenario analysis and assist in the preparation of product approval documents.
• Conduct user acceptance test on any product development, campaign and system enhancement projects.
• Provide technical support and recommend solutions to seniors on operation issues / enquiries / requests raised from distribution channels and other departments

Job Requirements

• University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or related curriculum
• Some progress in Actuarial examinations of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent
• Good communication skill and command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Strong attention in details and strong analytical and problem solving skill
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge in actuarial modeling is preferred. Familiar with Prophet is an advantage
