Job summary

Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun is looking for an experienced accounting professional to verify daily receipts, reconcile guest ledgers, and prepare key revenue and cash reports in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have at least three years in hotel accounting with a uniform system, a related bachelor’s degree, and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Five-day work week; suitable attire; strong problem solving and communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' working experience in accounting department of international class hotels with uniform accounting system.
• Bachelor's degree in hotel management or accounting.
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; strong communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify daily receipts which should be booked as hotel revenue is correctly done and recorded in the accounting ledgers and prepares the necessary reports.
• Verify sales from different departments are correct and complete the daily revenue report.
• Verify that the guest ledger balance agrees with the supporting details for each room account; ensure no unsettled billings remain.
• Agree the accounts receivable control sheet to the sales vouchers settled as accounts receivable and forward them to the accounts clerk after auditing.
• Implementation of checking for related persons who hold house funds at irregular periods every month.
• Prepare the General Cashier's Report by entering detailed cash collections and all other payments received for review and completion by both income auditor and accountant.

You will be working for a 298-room hotel, which is only a 3-minute walk from Tuen Mun MTR station. We would like you to join us as one of our Penta team members.
