Job summary

IKEA Hong Kong is seeking a qualified accounting professional to join our finance team. The role focuses on end-to-end bookkeeping, month-end closing, and tax reporting within a dynamic retail environment.

You will work with a diverse team to ensure accurate financial data, maintain internal controls, and support audits while upholding high integrity and service-minded standards.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of accounting experience in retail or wholesale
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and local tax regulations
• Experience in bookkeeping
• Strong time management and able to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of internal controls
• Detail-oriented with service-minded attitude
• Structured, independent and proactive
• High integrity
• Good English reading and writing
• ACCA/HKICPA or equivalent qualification preferred

Responsibilities

• Focus on bookkeeping including cost accounting, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, A/R, sales, A/P and fixed assets
• Participate in month-end closing: journals, account analysis and reconciliations
• Responsible for daily sales reconciliation
• Process coworkers' expense reimbursements and prepare cash advances
• Maintain fixed assets register and calculate depreciation per Dairy Farm policies
• Manage stock counts
• Support the annual audit and year-end process
• Prepare tax reporting

• You have 4-5 years of accounting experience in retail or wholesale (Accounting/Corporate Finance related experience in the retail industry is preferable, candidates only with CPA firm background will also be considered)
• You are a bachelor’s degree holder in Accounting or Finance
• You have good knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and local tax regulations
• You have sound experience and knowledge in bookkeeping
• You have strong time management skills and able to deal with many deadlines
• You have knowledge in internal controls

• You are highly structured, independent and goal-oriented personality and willing to take initiative and responsibility
• You have high sense of integrity
• You have good English reading and writing ability
• You are a qualified member of ACCA / HKICPA / equivalent (highly preferable)
