Job summary
A trusted logistics company in Barnsley is seeking a Warehouse and Trade Counter Operative. This role involves receiving deliveries, fulfilling customer orders, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates have trade counter and warehouse experience, strong teamwork skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Competitive salary of approximately £25k-£27k per year with opportunities for training and progression.

Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and book-in deliveries.
- Pick, pack, bag, repack & despatch customer orders.
- Serve trade counter customers and process sales.
- Arrange national & international courier shipments.
- Keep stock organised and shelf-ready.
- Assist with general product handling and preparation.
- Ensure excellent customer service and smooth operations.

Location: S74
Hours: 37.5 Hrs per week
- 08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday
Salary: Circa £25k-£27k per year basic. Negotiable for the right candidate
- 20 days flexible holidays per calendar year + stats
- Profit share inclusion after 1 full year service

- You should have previous trade counter & wholesale warehouse/stores experience
- The ability to learn about the range of products and an eye for detail
- Strong customer service & teamwork skills
- Counterbalance Lift Truck licence desirable (training available)
