Position Title: Assistant Professor of Counseling

Reports To: The Assistant Professor of Counseling will report to the Chair of the Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience department.
Pay Range: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program in the Department of Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience of the College of Natural and Health Sciences is expanding. We are inviting applications for a full-time (9-month), tenure-track assistant professor position for our online program, scheduled to begin in August 2025. The position includes teaching (24 credits or 6 courses per year), research, and service responsibilities. Additional teaching opportunities in summer and winter semesters may be available for extra compensation, depending on departmental needs. Candidates should have an earned doctorate or anticipate completing their doctorate by May 2026 in counseling or counselor education, with experience teaching in CMHC, supervising students, and online education. Responsibilities include clinical supervision, student advisement, departmental and community service, and other duties as assigned.
