Job description
About The Role

Are you ready to become a pivotal part of the UK’s leading health and safety experts, driving the success of our supply chain with your expertise? We are seeking a dynamic Demand Planner to join our team. In this critical role, you will be the mastermind behind managing a diverse range of products, with the responsibility for forecasting approximately 2,500 SKUs sourced from around 20 vendors both in the UK and around the world. Your analytical prowess will be key in maintaining customer service levels and managing inventory.

Your day-to-day will be filled with challenges and opportunities, from developing accurate demand forecasts using Arco's state-of-the-art tools to collaborating with key stakeholders for the introduction and phase-out of products. You will be the linchpin that aligns our supply chain with the sales strategy, driving supplier performance to achieve excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Using and maintaining the Arco forecast and supply tools, ensuring their optimal usage to develop robust demand and supply plans for our products
  • Ensuring demand forecasts are informed by statistical forecasts, historical sales trends and business, brand and category insight, to ensure the forecast is robust and reflective of latest market intelligence
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to monitor New Product Introduction forecasts and assumptions reflecting changes where required and ensure the smooth introduction and exit of products
  • Optimising inventory to achieve budget targets, whilst maintaining customer service
  • Creating and managing a rolling supplier forecast taking into consideration the sales forecast and understand impact of vendor’s ability to supply against the forecast.
  • Sharing risks and/or apply adjustments to the demand or supply plan, performing what if scenarios in order to resolve
  • Co-ordinating the resolution to demand/supply imbalances with supply chain, category management, sales and operations
  • Collaborating with key suppliers to drive improvements to supplier performance to deliver best in class service

On top of working for the UK’s leading integrated health and safety experts, you’ll also receive:

  • A competitive starting salary plus up to 10% annual bonus
  • 32 days (pro rata) holiday inclusive of bank holidays, plus the option to purchase up to 5 more days
  • 2 fully paid Community Volunteering days every year
  • An excellent pension and Life Assurance scheme
  • A huge range of high street retailer discounts to help with cost of living via MyArco Perks
  • Free, 24-hour access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Access to our Learning Management System, to support your personal and career development
  • Long-term service awards – we’re proud to have employees who have worked for us for 40 years

About You

The ideal Demand Planner will be/have:
