Juice Recruitment are currently recuriting for an established and growing organisation is currently seeking a Trainee Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is looking to develop a career within finance and accounting, while studying towards a professional qualification.
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analyse financial data to support budget holders and business decision-making
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders, providing ad hoc analysis and reporting
- Assist with external reporting for government and compliance requirements
- Provide operational finance support where required, including stocktakes and reconciliations
- Support finance process improvements and system development
- Assist with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger activities, including invoice processing and account reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve ledger discrepancies
- Support the preparation and distribution of customer and supplier price lists
- Provide cover for colleagues during periods of leave
- Act as an on-site point of contact for external IT providers and develop into a key user of finance systems
- Keen to study towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
- 1-2 years experience within a accounts assistant setting
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate data
- Previous experience using an ERP system would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- A strong team player with a positive and flexible approach
