Job Description:

The Data Domain Lead plays a critical role in ensuring effective management and governance of core data assets within a specific data domain (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain/Purchasing, Demand B2B, Demand B2C, R&D) and the associated roadmaps towards unlocking these in alignment with the analytics product development strategy and priorities. The role bridges strategy, operations, and governance, focusing on enabling the organization to extract value from data while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

Strategic Data Management

1. Execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the assigned data domain in alignment with organizational goals.
2. Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize data initiatives based on business value and strategic alignment.
3. Anticipate the data needs of product squads to unlock faster speed to value and insight.
4. Promote data as a strategic asset within the domain and across the organization.

1. Ensure adherence to data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
2. Ensure data quality management is applied across domains, including defining metrics, monitoring processes, and remediating issues.
3. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies, such as GDPR, CCPA, or industry-specific standards.

1. Drive the development and maintenance of core data assets within the domain (e.g., master data, transactional data, reference data).
2. Partner with data engineering teams to implement scalable data solutions.

1. Act as the primary point of contact for data-related matters within the domain.
2. Work closely with functional leaders, business analysts, and other domain managers to understand requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
3. Ensure transparency in data priorities, progress, and decision-making.

1. Oversee data lifecycle management, including acquisition, storage, transformation, and archiving processes.
2. Monitor the operational performance of data systems and resolve escalated issues.
3. Optimize processes to improve data availability, reliability, and usability.

1. Support analytics and reporting needs by ensuring the availability of high-quality, well-documented, and governed datasets.
2. Partner with analytics and data science teams to deliver insights and drive innovation within the domain.

1. Strong expertise in data management, data integration, and data engineering best practices.
2. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data-focused programming languages.
3. Experience with big data technologies and ETL processes.
4. Project management skills with the ability to operate in Agile framework.
5. Good communication skills, with a track record of aligning technical solutions to business needs.
6. Knowledge of data governance, compliance standards, and security protocols in global data environments.
7. Experience with DevOps principles such as CI/CD, unit testing, and AGILE development, envisaging options to contain costs over time.

1. 2-4 years of experience in data management, Data Engineering, or related roles, with exposure to specific data domains (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain).
2. Understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data compliance standards.
3. Hands-on experience with data management tools, data analysis, or data visualization software (Python, SQL, Power BI).
4. Experience in Data modeling (ideally Microsoft Azure).
