This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated and supportive environment where even the smallest positive changes in young people’s lives are celebrated.

Key Responsibilities

Lavender Lodge School is situated within an 18th-century building in the heart of Mitcham. The school welcomes pupils from a variety of boroughs, offering them the opportunity to experience what is described as ‘a life-changing love of learning.’ Lavender Lodge takes pride in its pupils and its dedicated team, with students leaving the school with a strong sense of achievement. The school was recently recognised as ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

Their clinicians are a crucial part of the most integrated model in SEND. The young people they support present with complex needs, including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, you will support educational and residential colleagues in creating therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people. You’ll also assess mental health needs and recommend appropriate interventions through personalised care plans. Building rapport is key—by doing so, you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and provide feedback on progress.

What’s in it for you:

For your hard work and commitment, they reward you with the best salary and benefits package in the sector. With them, you’ll get to make a genuine difference to the lives of our young people – plus you’ll get:

  • Training: A full induction and on the job training
  • Holiday: You’ll work hard at WG, so you’ll be rewarded with full school holidays including bank holidays

  • Medical coverso you can claim back the cost of things like an opticians or dentist appointment and a host ofhigh-street discounts
  • Beautiful working environments with the very best facilities – check out their schools here
  • A recommend a friend scheme that offers a £2,000 bonus every time

Bring your whole self to work

This is a great opportunity to change young lives and have a lasting impact on their future. You’ll benefit from regular supervision, a clinical development programme, and access to a 220+ strong team of multi-disciplinary clinical colleagues.

What they’re looking for:

  • A qualified Speech & Language Therapist (or accredited Counsellor) eligible for BACP or similar professional body membership
  • Additional mental health or therapeutic intervention qualifications (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to connect with young people
