  • Assess, diagnose, intervene, and plan discharges for adults with speech, language, communication disorders, and dysphagia in acute wards.
  • Provide training and guidance to carers, professionals, and volunteers involved in patient care.
  • Lead and support junior staff, manage caseloads effectively, and communicate with senior team members about capacity and demand.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team activities and liaise with regional and external agencies to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide second opinions on complex cases within the team.
  • Supervise and assess team members and students as a designated clinical tutor.
  • Engage in research and audits to demonstrate expertise and contribute to the field.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Having a car and valid driving license is preferred for flexible site travel.
