A leading automotive consulting firm is seeking experienced Light Vehicle Technicians & MOT Testers for flexible freelance contract opportunities in the UK. You'll enjoy attractive hourly rates of £22 - £25, long-term contracts, and access to training. Responsibilities include carrying out MOT tests, diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, and ensuring roadworthiness. Ideal candidates are Level 3 qualified with at least 3 years of experience in the industry and a passion for automotive maintenance. - Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and system faults.
- Inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.
- Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard.
- Stripping down and rebuilding vehicle components using technical guides.
- Replacing engines, transmissions, and other key systems.
- Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance is key within the Vehicle Technician role.
- Assisting in general workshop duties when needed.
- Level 3 Qualified in Light Vehicle Maintenance
- Minimum 3 years experience
