WSR is recruiting for a Management Accountant for our reputable client based in Milton Keynes.

Role Title: Management Accountant

Salary: GBP36k, plus generous allowances

Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid working available)

You will play a key role in shaping financial decisions, supporting operational and capital plans, and delivering accurate, audit-ready accounts.

Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Provide financial oversight and support across diverse projects
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulations
• Deliver monthly management reports for strategic decision-making
• Lead quarterly forecasts and support long-term planning
• Conduct financial analysis to improve efficiency
• Maintain accurate reporting and recovery of labour costs
• Support operational and capital expenditure proposals
• Drive benefit tracking and support annual business planning
• Contribute to improvements in financial processes and reporting systems

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

• Qualified (Chartered) accountant or equivalent experience
• Experience in management or project accounting
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Experience with ERP systems, especially Oracle (Fusion/Cloud preferred)
• Understanding of public sector finance and managing public funds
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
