The Disclosures team within the Glasgow Finance division is part of the global External Reporting team, responsible for producing firm reporting in accordance with multiple accounting and regulatory frameworks. We seek career-minded individuals to join our team.

The team prepares financial reporting disclosures of the firm in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS, as well as financial regulatory reporting for submission to various global regulators.

We contribute to numerous global projects driven by new regulatory requirements and continually enhance our reporting processes through digital tools and improved controls.

The team collaborates closely with stakeholders across the firm, including Global Product Controllers for the Institutional Securities Group, Finance Technology, Legal Entity Control, and the Accounting Policy Group.

Currently, the team comprises 8 members based in Glasgow, fostering a collaborative culture and positive work environment, as reflected by the average length of service.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the firm's US GAAP and IFRS financial and regulatory disclosures.
- Develop commentary and analysis supporting disclosures.
- Monitor progress against disclosure timelines.
- Respond to review questions and escalate issues as needed.
- Communicate with management and present disclosures to senior finance leaders.
- Understand disclosure requirements and Morgan Stanley policies.
- Maintain procedures and key controls.
- Represent the organization with external auditors.

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Holding or working towards a CA/ACA/ACCA qualification.
- Experience in financial reporting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Risk awareness and escalation skills.
- Ability to challenge issues and processes.
- Initiative, problem-solving skills, and self-motivation.
- Strong work ethic and responsibility for tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
