We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Senior Educational Psychologist (EP) to join our friendly and supportive team. You will work for a local authority that values respect, curiosity, kindness, and openness, leading a team of educational psychologists and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

'Dorset Children Thrive' is our locality model delivering Children's Services through four integrated teams, including Family Help, Children's Social Care, and Learning and Belonging. Educational psychologists are part of the Learning and Belonging strand, working within multi-disciplinary teams.

Matrix management structures support each locality, with senior educational psychologists forming part of local management teams and the Principal Educational Psychologist participating in the Children's Services Leadership Team.

• Deliver high-quality educational psychology services, promoting inclusive practices across East and Purbeck Locality and Dorset Council.
• Lead and manage the educational psychologists in East and Purbeck, overseeing recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and professional development.
• Build multi-agency networks and partnerships to support strategic planning and service delivery.
• Manage workloads and foster relationships with SEN teams, professionals, and education staff.
• Contribute to strategic planning for children with SEND and other groups, and report to relevant boards and groups.

• Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology (Doctorate or Masters).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified HCPC-registered EP, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Eligible for an enhanced DBS check.

Travel is required, and a suitable vehicle must be available. The role involves working with vulnerable groups and is subject to safeguarding and DBS checks. A relocation package is available, including financial assistance for moving and settling in.
