Duties of the Educational Psychologist:

• To provide psychological advice and address LA backlog.
• HCPC registration required and experience of providing LA psychological advice essential
• Must be able to offer a minimum of two Advices per month
• Be able to work to statutory timeframes
• To promote, develop and secure the highest standard of provision for pupils/students, families and schools within the given policy, budget and development framework of the Council.
• To contribute to improving the quality of education and standards of attainment of pupils—especially the vulnerable and disadvantaged.
• To specifically contribute to, and complete, statutory advice as part of the EHCP process.

Requirements for the Educational Psychologist:

• Psychologists must be registered and accredited members of the BACP (Registered Member MBACP (Accred) or Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred)).
• HCPC registration.
• Recent experience working as a psychologist in the UK.
