Job summary
A local council is seeking a Communications Business Advisor for a 3-month hybrid contract in Bristol. The role involves providing strategic advice on communications, developing marketing plans, and implementing new communication channels. Applicants should have a degree in marketing, strong understanding of marketing tools, and proven experience in campaign development. This position offers a competitive rate of £30.22 per hour via an umbrella company, with the expectation of 2 days in the office weekly.

- Strong understanding of marketing principles and tools across various platforms.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering marketing campaigns and content.
- Proficiency in design and editing software for multimedia content creation.

- Contribute to the development and delivery of the council’s communications plans.

We are currently working with Gloucestershire County Council who are looking to recruit a Communications Business Advisor.
Job: Communications Business Advisor
Duration: 3 months initial contract
Rate:£30.22 per hour via Umbrella Company, Inside IR35
Site presence:Hybrid – 2 days in office
- Provide strategic advice on internal and external communications to senior officers and portfolio leads and make recommendations for improvements
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the council’s communications plans
- Understand the strategic outcomes and requirements of individual services or external clients and translate into communications plans and delivery programmes
- Explore and implement new channels of communications and ensuring we are Digital First
- Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and tools across various platforms
- Proven experience in developing and delivering marketing campaigns and content
- Proficiency in design and editing software for multimedia content creation
