A financial services firm is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their Preston-based accounts team. This role focuses on accounts payable, processing supplier invoices, and assisting with month-end activities. The ideal candidate is studying towards AAT and will be involved in daily bank reconciliations and financial reporting. This Finance Assistant role will have a focus on accounts payable and play a key part in the day-to-day accounting operations whilst also supporting the Management Accountant with month-end activities.
- Processing supplier invoices
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies
- Monitor and manage the accounts inbox
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Weekly/monthly payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Assist with month end journals
- Financial reporting as required
- Assist with daily bank reconciliations
- Support with credit control as required
This Finance Assistant role is ideal for someone who is studying towards AAT and looking to get some more involvement in the month end process.
