Job Title: Site Services Electrical Engineer

Location: Burton

The role is based in Burton on Trent, home to the production of Marmite, Bovril, Hellmann's Mayonnaise, and Colman's Mustard and Condiments.

We are seeking a skilled electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and documentation on site. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with UK electrical regulations, managing electrical safety, supervising electrical contractors, and issuing and managing electrical safety documentation, procedures, risk assessments, and permits.

The candidate should be proficient in Windows-based computer applications, capable of managing documentation, and compiling reports. They must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.

1. Electrical Installation Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical systems to ensure compliance with UK regulations such as the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
2. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with health and safety standards, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
3. Senior Authorised Person Duties: Issue and manage high voltage electrical permits, oversee switching operations, and ensure personnel safety around high voltage equipment.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical installations, inspections, and safety documentation, including Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
5. Problem Solving: Detect and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
6. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to electrical personnel to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Certification in BS 7671 - 18th Edition.
• Extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of UK electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Computer literate.
• AutoCAD 2D and 3D skills are a plus.

• Excellent communication skills.
