You will be responsible for the safe decommissioning and secure disposal of data center hardware, including handling major brands like HP and Cisco. Ideal candidates should possess hands-on experience and strong organizational skills. This role requires physical capability to manage equipment and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as an IT Support Technician or similar hands-on role.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).

Responsibilities

• Execute the physical decommissioning of IT assets.
• Follow detailed project plans for equipment handling.
• Update asset inventories and maintain chain-of-custody.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Skills

Practical experience with hardware decommissioning

Familiarity with HP, Dell, Cisco equipment

Ability to follow instructions accurately

Organizational and documentation skills

Education

CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification
