Who we are looking for:
Unistrut is looking for an experienced General Operative to support our continued growth within the Atkore product range.
What you’ll do:
- Operate production/packing equipment as required
- Assemble, pack and identify trunking support products for our Flytec product range
- Take responsibility for inspection of incoming and outgoing parts and materials
- Keep production and quality related records up to date
- Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
- Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
- Performs Other Duties as Assigned
What you bring:
- A good knowledge of production equipment
- Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
- Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values
What you will strive to accomplish in this role:
- S -Zero Harm to yourself or your colleagues
- Q – Zero defective raw materials accepted into the premises
- D- All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner
- C- Zero downtime for machines allocated to material waiting times
Hourly pay rate - £12.21, plus 22% shift allowance for day shift
Hours of work will be 39 hours per week working 2-week rota shift pattern:
Shift 1 – Monday -Thursday 6am -2pm and Fridays 6am-1pm
Shift 2 – Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm and Fridays 1pm-8pm
