Senior Care Assistant role at Avery Healthcare, a large provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The key responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, contributing to person-centred care planning, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and health/social care professionals.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities include:

• Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes affecting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and updating records accordingly.
• Participating in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
• Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidate must:

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Please note this role will require:

• A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
