Job Overview
We are transforming the Network Services Group at CME and seeking a highly skilled Network Automation Manager. Join our diverse global team across the US, UK, India, and Singapore. The new Network Reliability/Automation team will build custom automation tools and develop self-healing capabilities to ensure our extensive exchange network infrastructure remains highly available, resilient, secure, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the POD model for service delivery.
- Develop and maintain network monitoring, orchestration, and automation solutions, including inventory reconciliation, workflow automation, configuration validation, health monitoring, alert handling, and incident remediation.
- Monitor network performance and develop automated solutions to resolve issues.
- Conduct automated network infrastructure audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide self-service troubleshooting tools for other teams and collaborate on designing automation tools for end-to-end network processes.
- Build API-driven services for seamless integration and easy consumption by other teams.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve internal processes.
- Develop automated test suites and document solutions clearly.
- Implement build and release pipelines.
- Prioritize backlogs, deliver solutions across environments, and manage deployment schedules.
- Lead estimation, release planning, and coordination of implementation dependencies.
- Track infrastructure delivery progress and communicate issues and mitigation plans.
- Innovate to enhance future deployment and operational processes.
- Generate management reports.
Qualifications
- Experience leading a Network Automation team with practical expertise in Network Automation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in network management.
- Programming skills, ideally in Python.
- Experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Knowledge of Netbox is a plus.
- Experience with Ansible and network monitoring tools.
- Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to develop API-based services and network libraries/frameworks.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals, asset, and configuration management processes.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile tools such as Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
