Medivet Cheltenham is a long established small-animal practice in the beautiful Cotswold town of Cheltenham Spa. Close by there is a bustling independent shopping and entertainment area, offering boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars.

Medivet Cheltenham and Medivet Leckhampton are less than a 7 minute drive between sites and work closely together sharing skills, support and experience. Our team consists of 5 veterinary surgeons (one surgery certificate holder, one with an interest in cardiology and another keen on ophthalmology) who are supported by a great team of qualified nurses, SVNs and reception staff. Our HRVN holds a surgical certificate. We offer lap spays and have a separate dental theatre plus imaging suite,spacious wards, in-house lab, diagnostic equipment and experienced veterinary surgeons and nurses.Both practices are overseen by experienced Practice Manager Ray.

We would be keen to hear from any experienced veterinary surgeons with an interest in surgery and would like the opportunity to work up their own cases with the support of an experienced team.

This position is full time working four days per week with 1:4 Saturday mornings and no call. An excellent salary on offer alongside a benefits package, plus a friendly close knit and supportive team with lovely pro-active clients in an thriving area of the country.

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.

• Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.

• Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.

• Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.

• Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.

• Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.

• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.

• Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.

• Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.

• Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.

• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
