Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operation of the cafe bar, ensuring efficient services and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Supervise and coordinate cafe bar staff, including scheduling, training and performance management
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, prompting professional growth and development
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries, complaints and feedback professionally
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimising waste
- Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction
- Manage the cafe bar budget, controlling costs and maximising profits
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe bar, conduct regular checks on equipment and facilities, and report maintenance issues
- Handle cash transactions, manage tills and ensure accurate financial records
- Assist in planning and executing promotional activities to attract members and increase sales
- Ensure KPIs (sales targets, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency) are met or exceeded; may qualify for a performance-based bonus
- Support the Club and work Duty Management shifts; be responsible for the club during these shifts
Requirements
- Proven experience in a cafe or management role within hospitality or food and beverage
- L2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Good financial acumen and experience with budget management
- Knowledge and experience of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Proactive and results driven, highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Desirable
- Knowledge of theme nights, party nights and organising member events
