Job description
Overview

The work of the Women's Estate Psychology Service (WEPS) spans core forensic work: completion of complex risk assessments along with therapeutic intervention work, consultancy, training & research, as well as a broad range of safety‑related work within women's prisons and as women transition back into the community.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of responsibilities aligned with the registered psychologist Job Description, with a particular focus on supporting the delivery of staff training to operational teams within the prison and, where required, across other women's prison sites.

Security

Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check. People working with government assets must complete a baseline personnel security standard check.

  • UK nationals
  • Nationalities of the Republic of Ireland
  • Nationals of Commonwealth countries who have the right to work in the UK
  • Nationals of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein and family members of those nationalities with settled or pre‑settled status under the European Union Settlement Scheme (EUSS)
  • Nationals of the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein and family members of those nationalities who have made a valid application for settled or pre‑settled status under the EUSS
  • Individuals with limited leave to remain or indefinite leave to remain who were eligible to apply for EUSS on or before 31 December 2020
