Accounts Assistant Darlington salary up to £28,000

Your new company

An expanding and exciting group based in Darlington is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working with an established team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of finance-related duties.

Your new role

Key duties include:

1. Purchase & sales ledger invoice processing
2. Supplier statement reconciliations
3. Processing sales invoices and customer contracts
4. Processing employee expenses
5. Query resolution for both customers and suppliers
6. Bank reconciliations
7. Payments runs
8. Credit Control - proactively chasing aged and current debt via telephone and email

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will have experience of working in the finance function of an owner-managed business. While sound Excel skills are essential, knowledge of Sage & Xero would be advantageous. You will be someone who enjoys working in a team, has a 'muck in' and 'help mentality' and is looking for a role where you can genuinely enjoy your working environment and thrive as the company continues to grow.
