Job summary

Vallum Associates seeks a Solution Designer in Sheffield, UK. This contract role sits Inside IR35 with a remote option of 2-3 days onsite weekly. You will craft HLDs/LLDs for IAM, define end-to-end tech solutions across domains, and translate security/regulatory needs into designs.

Collaborate with EA to align with strategic architecture. The role emphasizes Zero Trust, cloud-native architectures on GCP, Kubernetes, API security, and event-driven patterns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing IAM and Zero Trust architectures.
• Experience translating security/regulatory requirements into technical designs.
• Ability to define reference architectures and design standards across domains.

Responsibilities

• Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and Low Level Designs (LLDs) for identity capabilities.
• Define end-to-end technical solutions across business, application, data and infrastructure.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions and reference architectures.
• Define integration patterns between identity platforms, apps and infra.
• Design cloud-native solutions for GCP and Kubernetes environments.
• Define authentication, authorisation and federation architectures.
• Develop ADRs and design documentation.
• Identify risks, constraints and dependencies.
