Job summary

Mettler-Toledo Royston is seeking a high-impact Quality Manager to lead the manufacturing quality function and drive a step-change in performance. This role involves embedding a Zero Defect culture across supplier intake to customer delivery, while collaborating with production, engineering, and supply chain to ensure excellence and customer satisfaction.

You will manage a team of Quality Technicians and a Quality Specialist on site, championing improvements and data-driven decisions using SAP

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing quality teams.
• Expert knowledge of ISO 9001/14001 and audit techniques.
• Proficiency with corrective action and preventive action systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and inspire a team of Quality Technicians and a Quality Specialist.
• Act as a primary driver for improvement, evolving the company culture from 'compliance-focused' to a 'Zero Defect' mindset.
• Assist in the cultural deployment of the SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) process to ensure quality is a pillar of daily operational performance.
• Proactively challenge existing quality controls to improve their effectiveness and the robustness of their deployment.
• Work alongside operations staff to establish rigorous procedures, standards, and systems of work.
• Ensure all machines and sub-modules consistently meet defined quality standards before and during production.
• Lead the organisation in tracking internal Quality issues, ensuring exemplary and timely documentation via SAP Quality Notifications.
• Identify process improvements and implement preventive actions to mitigate risks before they impact the customer.
• Provide high-level reports articulating trends, performance levels, and the progress of strategic quality initiatives.
