A local wildlife organization is offering a week-long unpaid work experience opportunity for young people ages 10-13 at Allestree Park in Derby. We have a fantastic opportunity at Allestree Park in Derby

We are offering 20 young people (yrs 10-13) the opportunity to take part in a week‑long work experience placement at Allestree Park. During the week, you will get the opportunity to experience a range of conservation based careers through hands‑on workshops with our staff. The whole week will be spent outdoors working on the site trying out practical habitat management, surveying, engagement, communications and much more.

Participants will need to be able to travel to Allestree park and be on site 9.30-3.00 each day. They will need to bring clothes appropriate for the weather plus packed lunch and drinks for the day.

The dates are from 11th - 15th May 2026.
