Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking dedicated Youth Workers to join our team as cover supervisors, teaching assistants and pastoral workers in local schools. You will support and empower young people to achieve their full potential in and out of the classroom.

You will work directly with students, providing guidance and helping them overcome challenges to build a brighter future. This role emphasizes safeguarding, inclusion, and positive pupil outcomes.

Qualifications

• A degree would be an advantage.
• Experience working with youth in a similar capacity.
• Strong understanding of issues facing young people today.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide support to students in their learning when necessary.
• Liaise with teaching staff and management to ensure smooth operation of the school day.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with youth.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
