Job summary

Vision for Education are looking for people with experience working with young people to work in local primary and SEND schools. You will join our team as cover supervisors, TA and pastoral workers, supporting students to reach their full potential.

You will work directly with students, providing guidance and support in lessons and helping them overcome challenges to build a brighter future. Vision for Education offers excellent pay and a strong commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Degree would be an advantage
• Experience working with youth in a similar capacity
• Strong understanding of issues facing young people today
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• A passion for making a positive impact in the lives of young people

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour addressing and managing challenging effectively to maintain a positive learning environment
• Provide support to students in their learning when necessary
• Liaise with teaching staff and management to ensure smooth operation of the school day
• Build positive and trusting relationships with youth
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
