Job summary

Kisharon Langdon provides an inclusive youth-focused environment in Edgware. The Youth Worker will promote informal learning away from formal classrooms, supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism through varied activities and social interaction.

The role includes planning and delivering engaging sessions, working across multiple projects, and contributing to a welcoming, supportive team ethos at Kisharon Langdon Brady.

Qualifications

• The Youth Worker will encourage informal learning that occurs away from a structured, formal classroom environment.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and deliver engaging 1:1 and group activities.
• Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities and autism is desirable.

• Coordinate activities across arts, sports, music, dance, drama and cooking.

Activities range from arts and crafts to sports, music, dance, drama, cooking and basically anything else that is fun and allows our members to practice their behaviour in a social environment.

The post holder will be required to work across a variety of different projects and be responsible for planning and delivering engaging 1:1 support and group workshops to young people with learning disabilities and autism.
