Job summary

Education Partnership North East is seeking a proactive Skills Development Coach for Work Placement in Early Years and Health, based at Northumberland with a focus on 16–18 learners. The role involves building employer partnerships, coordinating placements and delivering impactful work-experience programmes.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English Language and Maths at grade 4/C or higher.
• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or related subject.
• Experience working with young people and adults in group settings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create opportunities for students to practice and develop their technical and employability skills as set out with the curriculum plan, allowing for positive progression.
• Plan innovative activities across the curriculum to ensure progress in English, maths, main aims, and work placements.
• Ensure all students are work-ready and possess workplace skills aligned to their career goals.
• Plan, track and monitor work placements for all eligible students within the team.
• Ensure students engage in meaningful employer activity including skills competitions, employer events, guest speakers and projects.
